In a significant move to foster international business relations, the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), in partnership with the Philippine Chamber of Agriculture & Food (PCAFI), successfully hosted the trade delegation visit of the Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO) tagged as “Buyer Seller Meet” on February 12 (Wednesday), at Seda Central Bloc, Cebu IT Park. The event brought together a total of 117 attendees, including 25 members of the Indian delegation representing 21 companies (engaged in manufacturing and trading of Indian products, including fresh fruits and vegetables, rice, millets, grams, spices, frozen meat, packed snacks, food packaging and more) as well as 92 local businesses from various sectors.



The sectors represented included Food & Agriculture, Hotels and Restaurants, Academe, Manufacturing, and Trade (Retail & Wholesale) which fostered new business relationships, explores future opportunities, and facilitates enhanced trade between India and the Philippines.



Graced by no less than H.E. Harsh Kumar Jain, Ambassador of India to the Philippines, who delivered an insightful address on the growing economic ties between the two nations. Mr. Mohit Hans, Deputy Director of the Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO), Mr. Jeevan Kandpal, Second Secretary at the Embassy of India, underscored the importance of expanding trade networks in Southeast Asia especially in Cebu and the Philippines.

The trade visit served as a platform for meaningful discussions and networking, enabling both Indian and Filipino businesses to explore potential partnerships, exchange knowledge, and discover opportunities for cross-border trade. In addition to the business-focused sessions, the delegation had the opportunity to explore and visit a Metro Retail Stores Group Supermarket – IT Park, giving them firsthand experience of local retail operations and market dynamics.
This collaboration between the CCCI, PCAFI, and FIEO marks a significant step forward in strengthening bilateral trade relations, enhancing mutual understanding, and creating avenues for economic growth between India and the Philippines.
