Among the esteemed awardees set to be recognized at the upcoming Gala Night is the trailblazing Philippine Span Asia Carrier Corp (PSACC) set to receive the prestigious “Captain of Industry – Shipping Commercial” award.
The story of PSACC harks back to the visionary beginnings of its founder, Don Sulpicio Go. Embarking on his entrepreneurial journey as a copra trader, Go identified an opportunity to not only stimulate economic progress but also foster connectivity between urban centers and remote islands within the Philippines through the avenue of shipping. His initiative led to the establishment of Sulpicio Lines, Inc. in 1973, initially comprising a modest fleet of 17 ships that were strategically deployed across tertiary and developing routes.
