Cebu HR Summit 2026: 198 Leaders Unite to Build a Green Workforce

The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) actively supported the Cebu HR Summit 2026: Greening the Workforce, hosted by the Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation (ASSIST) through the SustainABILITY Project supported by JPMorgan Chase, with the support of the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) – Cebu Chapter, held on February 5, 2026, at the Golden Prince Hotel in Cebu City, with 198 participants in attendance.

The summit featured speakers from the Climate Change Commission, International Labour Organization (ILO), and TESDA (National and Region 7 offices), along with government and private sector panelists. Discussions centered on green skills development, emerging green jobs, and sustainable workforce practices – equipping organizations and employees to thrive in the growing green economy.

Key topics included integrating sustainability into HR policies, fostering cross-sector collaboration, and preparing the workforce for environmentally responsible and future-ready industries. Participants explored opportunities in renewable energy, sustainable manufacturing, eco-tourism, and other green sectors.

This summit demonstrates how HR leaders can play a critical role in advancing the green transition,” said Ms. Georgenia Pascual, National Project Officer, International Labour Organization – Philippine Country Office. “By preparing our workforce with the right skills, Cebu can lead the way in building a sustainable and competitive economy.”
