CCCI unveils Official Candidates to the 2024 e-Election

The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), through its Commission on Elections (COMELEC), is officially releasing the list of twenty-five (25) candidates qualified to contend for eleven (11) vacant positions in the 2024 Election of Trustees.

Three (3) seats under the industry sector will see competition from four (4) candidates namely: President and CEO of Cebu Fil Veneer Corporation, Carlo Cordaro; President of Interior Basic Export Corporation, Jay Yuvallos; General Manager of MEPZ Mixed Gases, Kirby Chua; and the President and CEO of Nature’s Legacy Eximport, Inc., Pedro Delantar, Jr.

The Trade sector sees five (5) candidates aspiring for the two (2) available seats which includes: Vice President for Sales and Corporate Communications of Cebu Bionic Builder Supply, Inc., Bernard Vonn Sia; Sale Shop President of RC Goldline, Christian Paro-an; CEO of Aerophone Ent. & Co. – Cebu Philippines, Jason Tan; President of Pilipinas Precious Metal Resources, Inc., Mark Yu; and the President and General Manager of La Nueva Drugstore Chains Inc,, Robinson Uy.

Vying for the four (4) vacant seats in the Service sector are ten (10) notable candidates are: Managing Partner of PwC Philippines/Isla Lipana & Co – Assurance Services, Aldie P. Garcia; Founder & CEO of Prime Movers Total Logistics, Inc., Antonio Ynoc; Chief Operating Officer of PhilCare, Carmel Montesclaros; CEO and Managing Owner of FAAB Cleaning Services, Farhad Afshon; President and Owner of Sugbo Mercado Food Bazaar, Inc., John Paul “JP” Chiongbian; Managing Director of Lilu Advertising & Marketing Solutions, Inc., Lilu Alino; Vice President – Visayas of Airspeed International Corporation, Lloyd Omandam; Performance Training and Managing Systems President, Rodien Paca, Vice President and Sales Director for Central and East Visayas Region of Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation First, Romeo Comabig; and President of Ultimacare Insurance Agency, Rosario Pajo Nacua.

Meanwhile, the five (5) candidates are contending for the lone vacant seat in the ICT sector are: Country Head of Wipro Philippines, Aseem Roy; CEO of AtoX Business Solutions Inc., Gerald Yuvallos; AVP Head of PLDT Enterprise – Visayas Region PLDT Inc., Kent De La Calzada; Founder and Director of Cebu Digital Outsourcing Solutions, Inc., Paulo Uy; and Founder and COO of Mata Technologies Inc., Ryan Tan Yu.

Lastly, the President Cebu Alliance of Tour Operators Specialist, Alice Queblatin, is the lone candidate for the sectoral sector.

Deadline for submission of ballots will be on February 23, 2024.
