Love Local, Grow Global: Cebu Celebrates Homegrown Talent and Entrepreneurial Spirit

The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) proudly supported Nakakalocal Year 4, held at the Mountain Wing Atrium of SM Seaside City Cebu. Now in its 4th year, this advocacy bazaar continues to champion Filipino micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by providing a platform for market access, collaboration, and sustainable growth.

Organized by PhilSTAR Media Group in partnership with SM Seaside City Cebu, Nakakalocal Year 4 carried the theme “Come Together,” highlighting the importance of community, partnerships, and shared progress among Filipino entrepreneurs. The event brought together local brands, creatives, and enterprises in one space, fostering meaningful connections between MSMEs and consumers.

Cebu Chamber’s active participation reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting enterprise development, expanding market access, and promoting inclusive economic growth. By celebrating local innovation and entrepreneurship, CCCI continues to strengthen Cebu’s business ecosystem and help homegrown enterprises thrive.

This year’s bazaar featured 18 exhibitors from Cebu and Palawan, showcasing a wide array of products: from handicrafts and fashion accessories to local delicacies such as kakanin and pasalubong. The variety of offerings highlights Filipino creativity, craftsmanship, and entrepreneurial spirit, qualities that CCCI has long championed.

During the opening program, Mr. Felix Taguiam, CCCI Past President, PCCI Regional Governor for Central Visayas, and Champion for SMEs in Central Visayas, represented the Chamber. He underscored the significance of platforms like Nakakalocal in empowering local entrepreneurs.

Nakakalocal is more than a showcase of products. It is a space where dreams take shape and opportunities are created. Its advocacy, ‘Love Local, Grow Global,’ aligns perfectly with CCCI’s mission to support Filipino MSMEs, helping them grow not only within our communities but also in national and international markets,” Mr. Taguiam said.

By supporting initiatives like Nakakalocal, Cebu Chamber helps position Cebu as a dynamic hub for innovation and enterprise. These efforts strengthen the resilience and competitiveness of MSMEs, enabling them to adapt, grow, and thrive in an evolving market landscape.

Nakakalocal Year 4 ran until January 18, 2026, inviting the public to explore homegrown products and celebrate Filipino entrepreneurship. Through its participation, Cebu Chamber reaffirms its commitment to fostering a stronger, more inclusive business environment and supporting the growth of local enterprises.

Padayon, Cebu!
