PADAYON CEBU: Enabling Cebu’s Competitiveness through Digital Transformation and Innovation Forum is one of the major events of this year’s Cebu Business Month, which aims to introducing various strategies to be more globally competitive and how digital transformation will totally change and improve Cebu not only as a smart but a more sustainably developed City.
As we continue to navigate in addressing the ease and cost of doing business to determine the overall competitiveness and attractiveness of Cebu as a hub for businesses to start, operate and grow, the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) Secretary Director General, Ernesto V. Perez,will be the forum’s Keynote Speaker. Furthermore, a consultative meeting with business leaders, executives and entrepreneurs is also scheduled in one of the breakout sessions after the plenary.
A powerhouse of speakers from different sectors namely, Dr. Rafaelita “Fita” M. Aldaba, Undersecretary for Competitiveness and Innovation of Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), will discuss the present State of Competitiveness; Leopoldo John F. Acot, Asst. general Manager – Corporate Communications Group – National Development Company (NDC), will tackle Innovation Hub; and Dir. June Vincent Manuel Gaudan, Director IV, Government Digital Transformation Bureau, Department of Information & Communications Technology (DICT), will cover Digitalization of Government.
Meanwhile, Gian Carlo Conde, Segment Marketing Head of Eastern Communications, to discuss on Empowering Cebu Business With Smart Solutions; AI in Power will be covered by Luis F. Gonzales, the Chief Operating Officer for Power of Aboitiz Data Innovation; and David Rafael, the CEO of Aboitiz Land, Inc, will discuss the Digital Transformation in the Real Estate Industry.
Moreover, Usec. Jocelle E. Batapa-Sigue, Undersecretary for ICT Industry Development, Department Of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), who will take the lead in discussing Digital Cities; Cyel Auza, VP-Cebu Economic Estates of Aboitiz Infracapital, will bringing business leaders and entrepreneurs to Smart Industrial Zones; Gwen Sala, Deputy General Manager and Project Development Manager of City Di Mare, for Sustainable Smarter City; and Ryan Tan Yu and Athanasios Titonis, Chief Executive Officer of Mactan International Airport and COO & Co-Founder, Mata Technologies, Inc., respectively, will tackle Digital Tech in Tourism.
This 1-day forum not only encourages business leaders and entrepreneurs in fostering digital transformation in improving business operations and performance but also brings multiple perspectives through specialized lectures, an avenue to strengthen networks with business leaders and the government and most importantly be part of the driving force behind Cebu’s digital future and foster a culture of change and innovation.
