Subject: Transitioning of APEC Business Travel Cards from Physical Cards to Virtual Cards using the New Mobile Application

Dear APEC Business Travel Card Holder,

Please be informed that the Department of Foreign Affairs released a Memorandum about the suspension of printing of cards in transitioning of APEC Business Travel Cards from Physical Cards to Virtual Cards using the New APEC Mobile Application.  This mobile application will provide real-time updates and approvals by APEC economies regarding your application, The virtual card will replace the current physical card and its good as physical card when presented to the immigration authorities at point entry in APEC member countries.

Effective September 2021, the DFA is requiring all applicants to provide their personal email address instead of the corporate email address. The information is needed so that they could provide you with log-in credentials and direct access to your virtual card thru the mobile application. We will soon provide you a User Manual on how to use the mobile application.
