Assessment, Certification and Accreditation Service (ACAS) & Field Officer for FISH VISAYAS Project – Mactan Island

Under the supervision of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce & Industry Inc., the ACAS & Field Officer will provide staff support and promote Chamber ACAS to key stakeholders including member companies of the Cebu Chamber, Business Membership Organizations (BMOs), industry, industry associations, academe, educational institutions, international project partners and relevant government agencies.
  • Facilitates research and conduct risk/opportunity analysis of potential ACAS stakeholders, partners and beneficiaries in various key and emerging economic drivers such as but not limited to fish/agriculture, food manufacturing, tourism, creative entertainment, construction, logistics and shipbuilding;
  • Provides staff support to industry-academe clusters and government-industry-academe initiatives of the Chamber including engagement of CCCI representative to industry boards of TESDA.
  • Organizes, coordinate, facilitates committee meetings, industry cluster workshops, Focused Group Discussions, Key Informant Interviews/surveys, company visits, virtual activities and training sessions that engage industry-academe participation on the Chamber ACAS;
  • Maintains the ACAS databank and website accordingly to include updates on the job profiles of industries, successful graduates of each DET, Chamber-certified workers, Recognized/Accredited Industry Training Companies, feature stories of events and successful TVET workers, among others
  • Promotes CCCI initiatives and advocacies in workforce development in general including (1) Policy Support and Regulatory Framework, (2) ACAS establishment by other Business membership organizations, (3) DET Implementation Toolbox.The Field Officer of the FISH Visayas Project Phase 2 specifically in Cordova Cebu, with the support from AFOS Foundation for the Entrepreneurial Development Cooperation
As a Field Officer, he/she will assist the Project Coordinator to ensure that the Project activities are implemented successfully based on approved Area Work Plans, relative to the following:
Ensure the organization and mobilization of selected fisherfolks communities with the guidance of the, CCCI-Fish Visayas Phase 2 Project Coordinator and AFOS Area Coordinator
  • Assist the fisherfolks associations and LGU in implementing sustainable fisheries standards.
  • Assist communities in the planning and implementation of alternative livelihood activities.
  • Coordinate with fish and marine products processors; and
  • Establish strong coordination and linkages with all partners towards the successful implementation of the Project.
Qualifications:
  • Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Development Communication, Social Work, Community Development, and related course
  • Male or Female and must be between 26 to 30 years old
  • Computer literate MS Office, Adobe photoshop among others
  • Proficient in Information and Records Management and Records Compliance
