BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

The Business Development (BD) focuses on the needs of its members in the Cebu business community for continued knowledge and skills upgrading of business owners and employees whether current and future; to address issues of organizational competency, productivity and operational inefficiencies; strengthen business linkages, investment promotion and facilitation, and cater to specific needs, e.g. trade facilitation and marketing.Thus, it fosters interrelationships with advocates, champions and service providers in the Chamber membership and partners in the public and private sector having Business Development programs with the Vice President for Business Development.

TRAININGS & SEMINARS

CCCI offers two types of trainings: Technical Trainings and Soft Skills Trainings. Some of the trainings are conducted mainly by the Chamber while the others were conducted in collaboration with key partners. In addition, CCCI has also supported members in the business consulting sector in promoting their training and seminar activities. Similar support is also extended to other partners offering capability building assistance that will benefit CCCI members.

INBOUND AND OUTBOUND TRADE MISSIONS

Contributing to the achievement of this Desired Outcome are two core services of the Division.

These are facilitation and conduct of Inbound Trade Missions and Outbound Trade Missions and local business matching. Inbound Trade Missions and Outbound Trade Missions are conducted to establish business linkages between companies from other countries and the CCCI members and the Cebu business community. These support CCCI members and Cebu business expand their markets, access technology, business development services, financing and investments.

SPECIAL PROJECTS

CCCI has implemented four projects in collaboration with different partners from the national government agencies, non-government organizations and international development partners.

  • Optimizing and Upscaling Resources in the Food Supply Chain (OURFood)
  • Improving Food Safety Standards and Auditing Techniques for SMEs of the Philippines (IFSSAT)
  • ICT and Life-Skills Training for Solo Mothers in the Island of Cebu.
