Honored media friends, good afternoon.
On behalf of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, it is my great pleasure to welcome you all today to the Cebu Business Months (CBM) 2022: GO Cebu! PRESS CONFERENCE & MEDIA MIXER.
Over the years, CBM events have attracted thousands of participants from all over the region, creating meaningful interactions, exchange of trends and innovations, expanding opportunities that spark the positive spirit of optimism and hope – giving rise to creativity within enterprises and forging of B2B, B2C and B2G partnerships.
Now celebrating its 26th year and driven with the theme, “Go Cebu!” Our tagline: Realign, Reinforce, Rebuild – another convergence of stakeholders in the areas of Tourism, ICT-BPM, Entrepreneurship, and the Creative Entertainment Industry in a series of events that showcase informative and engaging programs to provide bigger opportunities for each industry to rise, go and prosper.
This year’s theme is indeed timely and sits very well with
Cebu Chamber’s vision of being the engine of economic growth in Cebu despite the global and local crisis and challenges we all face. And I am heartened to realize that despite all the uncertainty and unknowns, I continue to see an unbelievable commitment and resiliency from our industry players, as we continuously rise above barriers and claim victory over these challenging times.
Spearheaded by the ever dynamic and brilliant CBM 2022 Chairperson Brigitte Carmel Lim, who is determined in drawing on the strengths of each key industry, backed by her equally passionate CBM 2022 Team, it is without a doubt that this year’s CBM will deliver more meaningful activities that will contribute to the competitive advantage of Cebu in the global economy.
Your Chamber, as personified in the CBM family, is committed to continue engaging our members and the entire business community in programs and activities that connect opportunities, grow businesses and create value. The media is one such industry whole role in resilience and development of the business community cannot be underrated. The media, the press are agents not only of information but also of mood setting and change. Hence, we are one with you as we complement the public sector in bringing about growth and development in our island through CBM, the Chamber’s flagship program.
Thus, allow me to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to all our media friends for your continued support and engagement with us. We highly value your commitment in our long-term symbiosis, it has been our honor to establish this with you through the 26 years of CBM and 119 years of CCCI.
