The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) is now accepting nominations for its most awaited and highly anticipated annual Grand Chamber Awards (GCA).
Since its inception, the GCA has been a cornerstone in recognizing outstanding achievements within the business community. Beyond mere financial success, these awards honor individuals, business leaders, entrepreneurs, families and organizations that have left an enduring and positive mark on their communities and the broader economy.
This year’s award category includes the Entrepreneur of the Year award, which recognizes leaders with vital contributions and catalyze change that built and sustained world-class businesses and in operation for at least ten (10) years. The Socially Responsible Entrepreneur award honors entrepreneurs who practice business involving the benefits of the society where sustainability is embedded into the core of their business operations and creates a shared value for business and the community.
Additionally, the Young Entrepreneur Award recognizes an entrepreneur who is not more than 40 years old, who has demonstrated exceptional acumen and outstanding accomplishments in his/her own field of business and who is responsible for the exponential growth of the business. The Countryside Entrepreneur award recognizes a business leader, doing business beyond the tri-cities of Cebu, has demonstrated outstanding accomplishments in his/her own field of business, providing employment and business growth in the area his business is located.
Furthermore, the Small Business Entrepreneur award recognizes a businessman with a gross-sales which does not exceed 60M on an annual basis and who has exponentially grown his small business and contributed employment generation and economic growth and development. Lastly, the Technopreneur award recognizes an entrepreneur who has demonstrated exceptional leadership, creativity, and impact in the field of innovation and technology and has pioneered groundbreaking ideas, products, or services that have significantly transformed industries, improved lives, and contributed to economic growth.
To qualify for nomination, candidates must hold positions as owners, founders, CEOs, or COOs with primary responsibilities for their company’s performance, both historically and in recent times. Furthermore, the candidate’s company should have operated for a minimum of three (3) years, must be homegrown, and based or with a head office in Cebu.
Deadline for submission of nominations is August 30, 2024.
